Indirect Mosaic 2 nd. technique

METTODO INDIRETO- INDIRECT METHOD -TECNICA INDIRETTA

In the indirect method, tesserae are fastened face down using water-soluble glue ( colla di farina) onto a strong paper sheet, which has on its face the inverted design.When the mosaic is complete, it can be lifted and then pressed into a prepared setting bed of permanent adhesive. When the adhesive is set, the paper is dampened and removed.

Second technique of mosaic is really similar to the first, just instead of sticking glass pieces on holey canvas, I needed to glue them to the sketch paper by using colla di farina. The side that is glued to my sketch paper is the right one and the top one is the base.
